Supporting the College
New Parents will be well aware that Wimbledon College offers so much more than many schools . This is only possible because of the generosity of all who contribute to the School Fund.
Parents continue to make a significant contribution to the College (in excess of £109k a year). These funds, augmented by grants from the Jesuit Trustees and local Jesuit Community and from Old Boys and other benefactors, are used to support extensive extra-curricular activities and the building, facilities and grounds (which are owned and must be maintained by the Jesuit Trust).
Every College family is asked to contribute to the School Fund by completing the School Fund form (see below). The suggested amount is £38 a month but we recognise that some will be able to contribute more and some much less than this. Those families who pay tax are asked to Gift Aid their contributions. This enables the school to claim back from the Government an additional 25p for every £1 donated. Gift Aid accounts for some £26k of additional funding each year.
The Head Master writes to thank parents in the Autumn Term each year setting out how funds have been used and what is proposed for the coming year.
