Opportunities to Sing

Collegium Cantorum

An auditioned choir singing a range of liturgical music. The choir sings at all liturgies throughout the year, performs at many concerts and undertakes an annual European tour in the Summer Term (Krakow 2016, Rome 2017, Tuscany 2018, Valencia 2019).
Trebles rehearse at 7.55am on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Mu2

Altos rehearse at 7.55am on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Mu2

Tenors and Basses rehearse on Tuesday and Friday lunchtimes at 12.55 in Mu2 

Full choir practice is every Friday at 7.55am in Mu2

Practice rooms

These are available after school. GCSE or A Level music students can use them at break and lunch-times - other boys are able to use the rooms at the discretion of Mr Thomas.

Opportunities to Play an Instrument

St Cecilia Ensemble

This is held after school on Wednesdays from 4-5pm for all boys who are beyond Grade 5 on an orchestral instrument. This is in collaboration with the Ursuline High School.  Speak to Mr Reynolds or Mr Thomas for further information. 

Wimbledon College Orchestra

This is held on Wednesdays after school for all boys who are orchestral musicians. Speak to Mr Reynolds or Mr Thomas for further information.

Jazz Band

We have two Jazz bands in the school. Speak to Mr Thomas for more information.

Guitar Club

An opportunity for boys to develop their guitar playing. Date and time TBC for 2021-22.

School of Rock
A weekly opportunity where you can form bands and rehearse for gigs and the soon-to-be-introduced 'Battle of the Bands' competition.

Strings Project (for Figures only)
The Strings Project runs throughout the year and gives boys the opportunity to learn the violin, viola, 'cello or double bass free of charge for a year.  Information is sent out prior to the Autumn Term.
