'Wimbledon College is an outstanding Catholic school'

We are delighted with the outcome of our Denominational [Catholic] Inspection, which grades Wimbledon College as outstanding overall and in all three areas of the inspection.

They are ‘Catholic Life’, ‘Religious Education’ and ‘Collective Worship’.

The report highlights the strengths of the College as a Catholic school and identifies the importance of our Jesuit identity in all areas of College life.

In addition to observing RE lessons, assemblies and chaplaincy activities, the inspectors were able to meet with pupils, staff and governors as well as hearing from parents. This enabled them to make their decision, which we believe is a true reflection of the College and the many opportunities that we offer our pupils.

I want to acknowledge everything that Mr Potter [our Chaplain], Ms Kelly [Head of RE], the RE Department and indeed all of our staff do to ensure that pupils have the opportunity to experience, understand and live out Catholic values in their school lives.

We are proud that the inspectors have recognised the hard work of our staff, parents and pupils that goes into making our College community so special.
