On this page you will find information about how best to plan your travel to school, as well as information about staying safe and school rules regarding travel.  Wimbledon College is lucky to be extremely well connected by transport links, with excellent provision by national rail (to Wimbledon, Wimbledon Chase, or Raynes Park), tube (to Wimbledon), Tram (to Wimbledon or Dundonald Road), Buses (including 57, 131, 200, 93 and many more).  We would encourage students to choose active travel options (walking and cycling) where ever possible, else we would encourage the use of public transport (train, tube, tram or bus). These options are better for individuals health and/or the environment. We strongly discourage students being brought to school by car, for environmental reasons, but also because the roads around the school can get very congested.

At Wimbledon College we have plenty of cycle parking available, and we would encourage use of this. Sustrans website (click here) on advice on planning a safe cycle route, and cycle safety. We strongly encourage all students who are cycling to wear cycle helmets and have appropriate lights on their bike.

When leaving school students travelling towards Wimbledon must walk into Wimbledon and pick up their transport link from there, students are not permitted to catch a bus (200, 131, or 57) from school into Wimbledon. This is to ease congestion on the buses, to encourage more active travel, and reduce unnecessary bus journeys.

All students are eligible for a Zip Oyster Cards which offer free travel on Buses and Trams and discounted travel on other transport, for full details and how to apply click here.
