Wimbledon College – 2024 Sixth Form Success
Wimbledon College Sixth Form students have once again achieved impressive results in this year’s A Level and Vocational qualifications. The results are an improvement on last year’s and are significantly higher than those achieved in 2019.
At A Level, students achieved a pass rate of over 99% with over 27% at A*/A, 60% at A*/B and 83% were graded A*- C. Results in Vocational courses were equally impressive with a 100% pass rate and over half of all grades awarded were at least Distinction level. These figures, achieved in a wide range of subjects, are well above national figures, which is very pleasing.
The vast majority of our students have received offers from their first-choice universities, which will see them commencing courses at top universities around the country. In addition, other students will be taking up offers of apprenticeships in a variety of fields.
Courses that students will be taking up this autumn are varied. They include Accounting, Aerospace Engineering, Architecture, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Science, Business, Chemical Engineering, Criminology, Cyber Security, Economics, English, Fashion Design, Film, Finance, Geography, History, International Relations, Law, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Natural Sciences, Pharmacology, Philosophy, Physics, Politics, PPE, Psychology, Quantity Surveying, Sports Management.

Headteacher, Adrian Laing, said “Congratulations to all of our students on their well-deserved results. Such results are only achieved through commitment and hard work and it is a credit to the students and to the support that they have received from their parents, subject teachers and our Sixth Form team, that they have achieved such positive outcomes.
It has been a pleasure to talk to many students this morning who have secured places at their university of choice and to those who have achieved beyond their expectations. They are now able to take the next step on their career path, either through further studies or by entering the work place.
We wish all of our students, who have completed their Sixth Form studies, every success in their future endeavours.”
